Our committee focuses on the intersections between racism and the systems of law enforcement and criminal “justice.” Our members have been active in different arenas of the movement to transform, or at least reform, those systems at the local, county, and state levels. We work in coalition with other progressive organizations and campaigns.

In this current period of strong and successful conservative pushback against progressive leaders and policies labeled “soft on crime,” our committee will be discussing and setting our short-term and longer-term priorities for 2025, and we welcome new members to help shape our course.
